Just some quick hits here and I will write up something more comprehensive later…
First off, weather, about 60 and windy. Gust expected up to 50 mph later today. Yikes! Shouldn’t effect anything however as the work days are rather short when it is just pitchers and catchers.

Felix. Wow. Looks great. It is apparent he knows what to do in the off season. I think his pudgy days are behind him.

Notes from our first talk with the skipper…Morrow definitely a late innings guy. I had thought that they may let him work up a pitch count should something happen with a starter but Mac said he wanted it to be clear to Morrow that they want him to concentrate on relieving…As of now, Burke is the back up catcher and Jeff Clement will not make the big club unless it is in an every day role. They will not look at him at first base, but, Mac acknowledged he could DH. He will not beat out Kenji who Mac said should climb to All Star Status this season...A platoon in right is a possibility but unlikely. Mac sees Wilkerson as an everyday player, but Reed, Balentien, Morse and Jimerson will get good looks…Bill Bavasi has said that Arthur looks terrific, I took this to mean that he could compete in spring training but this is not the case, he is still working his way back…1 and 2 are determined in the rotation, 3-4-5, well, we will see how it unfolds. It sounds like Mac would like to stick with the left right order, but says they are examining all aspects. Bedard, Felix and Washburn threw together today…That’s it for now, will be back with more later.
