Update: Two roster moves were announced after the game and we were told a third would be announced tomorrow. Jeremy Reed has been optioned back to Tacoma and Brandon Morrow to AA West Tennessee.

There has been interest in Reed on the trade front so for his sake, hopefully something will happen. There simply is not enough room on the roster for another left handed outfield bat and Reed should be playing somewhere in the big leagues. My biggest concern with him has been health with the wrist injury he suffered a couple of years ago but that does not seem to be an issue any more.

Morrow is still struggling to find his control after being shut down for a week with shoulder stiffness. There is no injury concern. The velocity and stuff are there, he just cannot hit his spots right now. He will head back to Arizona to continue his throwing program then to AA where the weather will be much better than Tacoma. He is not expected to be down long.

Hello from Vegas. Roster moves have not been announced as of yet but Bill Bavasi who was just on with the guys said that Mike Morse is a lock to make the club. This wasn’t an automatic despite the spring batting average as a high value had been put on the speed of Charlton Jimerson. If they carry the extra pitcher, that could be bad news for him.

Morse hit a shot opposite field just minutes after Bill’s appearance on the broadcast. We have been told there was a good chance that a move would be made after the game. The roster currently stands at 34 including the four who have been told they will not be breaking camp with the big club.
