GRAHAM, Wash. -- Pierce County detectives are searching for clues after a young couple was found murdered inside their home.
Pierce County sheriff spokesman Ed Troyer said a neighbor saw the married couple's door kicked in Saturday afternoon and found the bodies inside when he went to see what was going on.
Troyer said Beverly Mauck, 28, and Brian Mauck, 30, were found dead. An official cause of death has not yet been determined.
Autopsy results are expected back on Monday.
Investigators do not believe the attack was random, but no motive was apparent. Detectives do not believe the crime was drug-related or linked to a robbery.
"We know that they died a traumatic death and we're treating it as a double homicide," he said.
Detectives have been collecting evidence at the home in the 30500 block of 70th Avenue East just south of Graham and interviewing people who live in the area. They had not found any key evidence as of Sunday night.
"At this point we don't have any suspects, we don't have anybody of interest. We've looked at everything and we're looking to everything trying to determine a path to take," said Troyer.
Friends have set up a small memorial outside the home in the couple's memory. Detectives said the pair had been married for less than a year.
"They're great people, they have a lot of friends, they have strong family ties. A lot of people we asked, they can't find a bad thing to say about them," Troyer said.
Friends of the couple told KOMO 4 News Brian worked for an Auburn air conditioning company and Beverly had a job as a clerk at a car dealership in McKenna.
