LEWIS COUNTY -- Santa came early for one teacher and single mother who lost most of her possessions during the storm and flooding two weeks ago.

The flood waters washed away nearly everything Trisha Disney owned.

But now she's gaining speed in the long rebuilding process, thanks to a determined National Guard soldier who insisted on helping every person in the town of Doty.

KOMO News first met Spec. Mark Camacho when he was delivering clothes, cleaning supplies and food viewers donated during our flood relief drive.

The experience drove Camacho to achieve a personal mission: find a holiday gift for every resident in the town of Doty.

"If I can make a difference in one person or one child's life, that's worth more than anything in the world," he said.

With help from Spec. Sharissa Gow, Camacho collected a gift for every person in the town, except one.

Pe Ell Middle School teacher Trisha Disney had asked for a car after flood waters destroyed hers.

"She has three kids, she's a single mom and my heart goes out to her because she serves the community," Camacho said.

Camacho called the Problem Solvers for help. And we reached out to our viewers.

Tyler McMillan with All-Star Ford in Olympia called his boss minutes after he saw the story on Friday.

"I said 'hey, can we help this lady out? She needs a car.' And he said 'you're the used car manager, look in the inventory and give me some ideas,"' McMillan said.

Every manager at the dealership pitched in to help pay for a 2004 Taurus in the lot. And on Sunday, they drove south for the big surprise.

In Doty, Disney had no idea her wish was about to come true.

"I'm so overwhelmed, I don't even know what to say," she said when she was given the car. "I just can't believe how much people are willing to do in a situation like this. It's unreal.

The car will allow Disney to drive to work, take care of her three kids and begin rebuilding her house.

But Camacho and Gow say they're not done yet. They're still at work, getting ready for the next holiday surprise.

Volunteers will help the pair wrap the gifts and surprise the kids of Doty at a town holiday part next Sunday.

"I took this thing personally. She became a part of me and this town became a part of me," Camacho said.
