Driver murdered in Tukwila intersection
TUKWILA, Wash. -- A driver was shot in the face while waiting for a green light at an intersection on Wednesday night, according to police.

Police said the driver was stopped at 116th and International Blvd. when another car pulled up next to him. The driver of the second car got out, walked over to the first car and shot the driver in the face at around 9:10 p.m.

The wounded driver was taken to Harborview Medical Center where he later died, said Tukwila police spokesman Mike Murphy.

The victim, whose name has not been released, was alone in the car at the time of the shooting.

Murphy said the gunman drove off after the shooting and it's not not known whether the gunman and the victim knew each other.

Police shut down both directions of International Blvd. for several hours following the accident to investigate and question witnesses.
