It's all about context.
So while everyone else was fixated on Gov. Elliot Spitzer and his boinking a high-priced prostitute, there was Dr. Laura spouting off about how she holds wives responsible when husbands go off on some sexual escapade.
Dr. Laura is a radio mouth that roars.
She sells her schtick and her books on the backs of women who don't live up to her peculiar ideas of what a woman should be.
In Dr. Laura's world, and with the whole conversation being about Spitzer, women are "... responsible for tossing out perfectly good men by not treating them with the love and kindness and respect and attention they need."
In short, Dr. Laura absolves the ex-governor and blames his wife for driving him to drop 80 large on high-priced hookers.
I have no idea how many women actually buy into this drivel, but I imagine all the guys cruising Aurora Boulevard now feel more than validated.
Here's my bottom line: Elliot Spitzer has no one to blame but himself.
I don't care if his mommy and his wife did, or didn't, love him.
He should have kept his pants zipped up.
And Dr. Laura should do the same with her mouth.

And be sure to join Ken, along with John Carlson, on "The Commentators", which airs every weekday from 3-6 p.m. on AM 570 KVI.
It's a lively exchange of information, insight and perspective with two guys who don't agree on much, but still manage to enjoy each other as they tackle issues of the day. Even better, callers are invited in on the verbal action.
