Crews rush to 3-alarm fire at unoccupied school
SEATAC - Firefighters raced to a three-alarm fire at the unoccupied Angle Lake Elementary School on 28th Avenue South.

Witnesses called 911 to report the fire just after 6 p.m.

Several fire crews and engines are the scene, at 19215 28th Ave. South. The building is believed to be a total loss, said David Nelson of the SeaTac Fire Department.

No one was inside the building at the time of the blaze, and there are no injuries.

The school building was constructed in the 1930s, and has been unoccupied since 2005, Nelson said. It is currently owned by the Port of Seattle.

Firefighters are battling the blaze from outside the building, due to fears the roof may collapse.

The cause of the blaze has not been determined, but it is not believed to be suspicious, officials said.
