Arrest made in fatal Lynnwood shooting
LYNNWOOD, Wash. -- A man was fatally shot as he drove his car near Lynnwood early Tuesday morning, and one of the passengers has been arrested for investigation of murder.

Three men were inside a car driving near the 14600 block of Admiralty Way around 2 a.m. when shots were fired, apparently from inside the car, according to Rebecca Hover with the Snohomish County Sheriff's Department.

The driver was struck and eventually died. The car then crashed into a fence. No one else was injured.

Hover says the shooter was one of the car's passengers, and that man has been arrested for investigation of first-degree murder. The other man in the car has been detained for questioning.

All three men knew each other, Hover said.

There's no word yet what sparked the shooting. The victim's name has not been released.

Deputies are continuing their investigation.
