The Schrammie: Bureaucrats vs. 'erotic' baristas
By Ken Schram
When’s a barista not a barista?
When the Mason County Board of Commissioners declares she's an erotic entertainer! So would Tim Sheldon, Lynda Ring Erickson and Ross Gallagher put on an extra layer of clothing and come on down. This governing trio is on a tirade over the attire of the women of Belfair’s "Espresso Gone Wild." And so it is that with one crack of the bureaucratic gavel, customers will not be getting boustieres with their breves or pasties with their pastries. Their ruling puts "Espresso Gone Wild" in the category of erotic entertainment. So Tim and Lynda and Ross can now feel safe to get a double tall moral mocha and a prudishly prune danish from the girls there. I’ll bet it would have been entertaining to eavesdrop on the commissioners as they discussed this issue in chambers. At any rate, for being decisively indignant and at the same time heavy-handed and for being bureaucrats who'd balk at anything short of a burkah babe coffee hut, take a bow Tim, Lynda and Ross because this “Schrammie” - which comes with its own set of pasties - is for you. |
