Acrobat takes a hard fall at Everett performance
EVERETT, Wash. -- It's electrifying to watch acrobats fly through the air under the big top. But Thursday night, the "oohs" and "ahhs" became gasps as one of the performers fell at the Ringling Brothers, Barnum and Bailey Circus performance in Everett.

As the music reached a crescendo, the Henan acrobatic team gains momentum, swinging back and forth on poles.

Then, as the acrobats leap from one pole to another, one of them misses. He hit the pole and then hit the floor.

"And today, he's got a broken wrist," said circus spokesman Andy Perez. "When you're a pro like that, you learn how to take a fall."

That is part of their training, but he hit the floor hard and as we watch medics carry him off stage, he looks unconscious.

"He didn't lose consciousness but he sure got the wind knocked out of him," Perez said.

Meanwhile, the show goes on through all of it! The other acrobats on stage, just keep swinging overhead.

Perez says the young acrobat who fell did spend the night in the hospital, but that he got the OK to go home Friday.
