ABERDEEN, Wash. -- An Aberdeen man is fighting for his life after he was mysteriously burned early Tuesday morning.

Grays Harbor County Sheriff's detectives are trying to piece together exactly what happened to 41-year-old Marlon Lee.

Surveillance video from Grays Harbor Medical Center shows a pickup truck pull up outside the emergency room at 4 a.m.

You can see Lee get out of the truck and then just stroll into the ER, stumbling a bit as he walks.

"What this picture doesn't show is that he is bleeding pretty profusely from a head injury," said Grays Harbor Undersheriff Rick Scott.

Lee had also suffered burns to his head, neck and shoulders.

Doctors at Grays Harbor County Medical Center did what they could for Lee, but then transferred him to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. He was listed in critical condition Tuesday evening.

In the meantime, detectives are still piecing together what happened that led to Lee's injuries.

Neighbors said Lee rarely goes out, and that usually friends come over to play cards or video games. But detectives say Lee left his house with two women around 9 p.m. Monday and went to the Quinault Shores Casino.

Lee has had a lot of police contact over the years, as a victim, witness and sometimes a suspect. And he does have half a dozen felony convictions, several of which involve heroin.

We asked Scott if the incident could be drug related?

"We haven't ruled anything out and it's very possible given the people he's known to associate with," Scott said.

Until they can talk with Lee to explain what happened to him, detectives want to talk with the driver of that truck seen in surveillance video. If you saw Marlon Lee or recognize the pickup truck they're looking for, call the Grays Harbor County Sheriff's Department.
