It may be a big historical event, an interesting look at something that isn't here anymore, or just a view of how something has changed. Some of you will remember these events and moments, and some of you will be learning how it used to be in this neck of the woods.

Sometimes it will be an old story with narration, a piece of silent video, or an interview with a figure from this region's past.

Saturday, November 22, marks the 45th anniversary of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. Today I'll show you the reaction to this tragic American event here in Seattle at Third and Pike Street, at Frank Turco's newsstand.

There is no narration, but there is the powerful natural sound of Frank Turco shouting the headline, "President of the United States shot to death," and the reaction of folks buying the paper and listening to the latest about the tragedy on a radio that was playing in the newsstand.

This is what aired on KOMO-TV on that awful day in 1963.
