Auburn teen fatally struck by car
DONALD, Ore. (AP) - Police have identified a teenager killed as he tried to run across Interstate 5 near Donald in the Salem area as 17-year-old Alan Bautista of Auburn, Wash.
State police said they found Bautista's family at a nearby gas station, and they told troopers that the boy left the vehicle for unknown reasons and ran toward the freeway on Thanksgiving night.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver and her two passengers were taken to Salem Hospital for a medical evaluation. No citations were issued.
