Temperatures plunge below zero in some spots
ARLINGTON, Wash. -- You thought you might have seen everything so far this week, but now add sub-zero temperatures to the list.
With several inches of snow on the ground and a clear sky Friday night, the temperature plunged below zero in a few locations across the north Interior.
Arlington's airport reported their morning low temperature was -6. We also received some unofficial reports from people with home weather stations that the temperature was -2 just outside of Lake Stevens, and -1 in Sedro-Woolley.
Other areas were down into the single digits and teens. Marysville reported 3 degrees while Redmond reported 7 degrees at 8 a.m., while it was 8 at Olympia and at an unofficial reading in Everett, 10 in Mount Vernon, 12 in Puyallup and 15 in Seattle.
