SEATTLE -- Embellishment with a healthy heaping of arrogance, all while shoveling a substance other than snow, if you get my drift.

Yes, it was the esteemed Mayor of Seattle who was hoping that telling a lie would disguise the truth.

And so I'd like to invite Greg Nickels to put his galoshes in the corner and come on down.

That really was Mayor 5-pennies generously awarding himself an above average grade for the city's handling of the recent snowstorms. And yes, that was hizzoner telling everyone that using salt to melt the snow on city streets was on par with inviting an environmental catastrophe.

Which may help explain why more than 60% of Seattle residents think Mayor 5 pennies is doing a crappy job, snow or no snow.

So, for the chaos created by not looking out for those who live and work in Seattle; for the hazards and inconvenience brought about by his failure to respond to some Winter weather and for his 'emperor has no clothes attitude', take a bow Mayor Nickels because this "Schrammie" (the first of ought-nine) is for you.
