SEATTLE -- A man was shot to death in the city's Madrona neighborhood early Monday morning.
Police got the call just before 2 a.m. that someone heard gun shots on East Marion Street, said Jeff Kappel with the Seattle Police Department. A few minutes later, police were told of a man who was injured on the ground on East Cherry Street.
Officers arrived to find a man in his 20s down on the sidewalk in the 2600 block of East Cherry Street, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his chest.
Those officers performed CPR on the man until medics could take over. He was then rushed to a nearby hospital, where he later died.
Police say at this point, they do not have any suspects, and only a vague description of a car in the neighborhood that might have been involved.
