Ken Schram: Freak out! Or, just enjoy the art
SEATTLE -- What is America coming to?

How have we got to the point where the publicly displayed sculpture of a nude woman is passed off as a work of art?

My friends, this is what comes of a society that doesn't understand the puritanical prudency of a burka.

Look at the vulgarity that has erupted in the bucolic village of Burien.

No, wait!

Don't look! Lest the offensive sight of a naked female cause you to pluck out your eyes with one plastic spoon from Ivar's.

Outraged people are demanding to know why a bronze woman with no clothing is on display next door to a new public library.

Oh suffer the poor children who may inadvertently gaze upon the unclothed female form.

Good people of the Puget Sound, I implore you: Rise up in righteous indignation and demand this ode to nakedness be removed.

Or...

Simply go to the Burien/Interim Arts Space and enjoy a remarkable expression of beauty.
