Federal Way man shot by masked intruders
FEDERAL WAY, Wash. - A 47-year-old man was shot and seriously wounded Friday night when two masked men stormed into to the house he shared with his parents.

Officers responded to the scene, in the 4900 block of S. 284th Place, after the 11 p.m. incident, said Sgt. John Urquhart of the King County Sheriff's Office.

Investigators said the suspects came into the house through the front door, which was open due to the warm weather. They went to a back bedroom where the victim was, and he was shot shortly thereafter.

The parents, ages 71 and 75, were not injured.

The two intruders were both armed with handguns. The motive remains unclear, but detectives do not believe this was a random incident.

The victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center for treatment, where he remained on Saturday.
