EVERETT -- Rob Trickler is on a mission to find the driver who killed his 15 year old daughter.

Heather Trickler was hit and killed along U.S. 2 last month, and now investigators have identified the type of van that struck her.

"This could be the piece we need to bring this to closure," Rob Trickler said.

They think a blue and tan 1995 GMC Astro van struck Heather and then just kept going. Her father is pleading for someone to come forward and take responsibility.

"Somebody has a neighbor out there who is no longer driving a 95 Astro, blue or tan," Rob Trickler said.

Five weeks ago, the teen left her friend's house and walked a familiar route along Highway 2 near Everett on her way to her dad's house. She was going to his birthday celebration.

State troopers say it was nighttime, and believe the van hit her, then sped off leaving her body undiscovered for two days.

So far, no one has come forward.

"No sign that anybody is going to take ownership of this, and that's a hard pill to swallow," Rob Trickler said.

Heather wrote poetry, loved music, basketball, and took pleasure in helping others. She was so giving to everyone and worked as a caregiver.

Now her father needs care and closure. He hopes the van description will help catch the driver who ended Heather's life.

"I am never going to stop until this person is found," Rob Trickler said. "It's just, you know, my daughter deserves to have justice and her mother and I deserve closure."
