ORLANDO, Fla. - A Seattle area man has been arrested on suspicion of molesting a 13-year-old boy at a Disney World water park.

The suspect, identified as David Eugene Thomas, 29, of Mountlake Terrace, was arrested late Thursday and is being held without bail at the Orange County jail, according to a report in the Orlando Sentinel.

The alleged molestation is the third sexual-related incident at Disney World's Typhoon Lagoon this month - a troubling trend at the family-friendly destination.

There also have been several other similar incidents recently at other Orlando-area water parks as well, officials said. Deputies said the latest incident happened Thursday at Walt Disney World's Typhoon Lagoon. Although investigators are charging Thomas with molesting a 13-year-old boy, they think he victimized more than six children, the Sentinel reported.

A Disney spokeswoman said the three incidents at Typhoon Lagoon this month are not unique to that theme park.

Deputies said Thomas is visiting Orlando with a 15-year-old boy from the Seattle area, the Orlando Sentinel reported.

The teenager told investigators Thomas had sexually molested him in the past, Sgt. Rich Mankewich of the Orange County Sheriff's Office said.

Mankewich said Friday that Thomas is facing an additional count of sexual battery on a child because of his molestation of the boy, who is now in the custody of the Department of Children and Families and will be returned to his mother.

More information will be published as it becomes available.
