Person shot outside downtown juvenile court
SEATTLE -- A young man was shot Friday morning outside the juvenile court building in Downtown Seattle.
Officials said the person was shot in the hip and was transported to Harborview Medical Center, where he was expected to survive.
Thomas McGay, who lives across the street, said he heard six gunshots and looked out his window to see a white car speeding away from the scene of the shooting.
One of the people in the car threw a red bandana onto the street.
Police have cordoned off the area near the court building at 1211 East Alder Street, and the shooter remains at large.
