Missing Moses Lake baby found, dad charged
GRANT COUNTY, Wash. -- The missing 9-month-old girl whose disappearance triggered an Amber Alert on Tuesday afternoon has been found.

Grant County sheriff's deputies said Harmony Vielle was turned over to police by friends of her father around 8 p.m.

Investigators said Kevin Vielle told friends he planned to hurt himelf and the baby, but they had convinced him to turn her in instead.

The baby is safe and in the care of Child Protective Services.

The girl disappeared some time after 11:45 a.m. Tuesday, and detectives believed her father, Kevin Vielle, had taken her following a dispute with her mother.

Deputies said Kevin Vielle, 18, became convinced on Monday night that the baby's mother had been slowly poisoning her.

He took the baby's mother to a home with no phone line, then gave her two black eyes and forced her to drink a liquid house cleaning product, they said.

The woman finally gained access to a phone on Tuesday, when she called police.

Detectives initially believed the two may be headed to Montana in a 2005 Dodge Neon, but just after 5 p.m. that car was located at Larsons Heights Elementary School with neither the father nor the girl inside.

Kevin Vielle has been arrested and charged with assault and domestic violence.

Harmony Vielle will remain in state custody until detectives investigate the father's claims she was poisoned by her own mother.
