Idling train sends fumes into Art Institute
SEATTLE -- An idling train along Seattle's northern waterfront area caused quite a stir Tuesday morning.

Hazardous Materials teams from the Seattle Fire Department were called to the Art Institute Building on Elliott Avenue just before 10 a.m. for reports of sickening smell. Crews closed off the area at Wall Street to investigate the cause.

It was later determined that the smell was diesel fumes emanating from a train parked behind the building. The fumes got into the building's ventilation system and caused a few people to get sick. A few people were treated at the scene and one person was taken to a local hospital just to be checked out.
