Search on for missing hiker near Darrington
NEAR DARRINGTON, Wash. -- Rescue crews resumed the search on Wednesday for the man who did not return home on Monday from a week-long camping and hiking trip.

Investigators said Gregory Keller, 59, of Seattle left home last week, telling his girlfriend he would be spending a week in the Mt. Loop Highway area near Darrington. When he didn't return home on Monday as planned, the woman alerted authorities.

On Tuesday Snohomish County Search and Rescue crews began combing the area and found the man's car near Highway 530 in the French Creek. They searched on foot and in the air throughout the night and into Wednesday, but did not find any signs of

Keller is an experienced hiker who was well-equipped when he left for his trip, but the man has no overnight camping experience, detectives said.

He is said to stand 6 feet tall and weigh approximately 300 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. Anyone who has seen Keller in the past week is asked to contact authorities at 425-388-3523 immediately.

Detectives do not suspect foul play.
