Teen killed, another injured in Bellingham crash

BELLINGHAM, Wash. -- A teenage girl was killed and another was injured when their car rolled over on Friday afternoon.

The incident took place on Deming Road near Pebley Road around 3:48 p.m.

State troopers said two girls were headed east on Deming in a 1995 Toyota 4Runner when the car veered off the road, hit several large rocks and rolled several times.

The driver, 17-year-old Kasey Eggleston, was ejected from the car. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 16-year-old passenger was taken to St. Joseph hospital where her condition is not known.

Investigators believe inattention on the part of the driver cause the crash.
