Teen seriously injured in crash with semi truck in Lake Stevens

LAKE STEVENS, Wash. -- A 19-year-old woman was seriously injured in a crash with a semi-truck on Highway 9 Monday afternoon.

The crash occurred just after noon near where the highway intersects with the Lundeen Parkway.

The woman was rushed to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, but the extent of her injuries are not known.

Lake Stevens police haven't determined yet what caused the crash.

The highway was expected to remain closed for a portion of Monday afternoon for the accident investigation.
