Bremerton ferry out rest of week for hull repair
The Washington state ferry Kitsap, an Issaquah Class 130 boat, heads from Seattle to Bremerton, Wash., on a run Tuesday, March 4, 2008.
SEATTLE (AP) - Commuters on the Bremerton-Seattle ferry route might see longer waits this week.

The Ferries Division says the Kitsap will be out of service through the weekend to repair a cracked hull. It was discovered during an inspection, leaving only one ferry for the Tuesday morning commute.

To help out, the Ferries Division is bringing in the 90-car Sealth, starting with the 4:20 p.m. Tuesday sailing from Seattle.

The 34-car Hiyu, which has been on standby at the Eagle Harbor maintenance facility, will replace the Sealth on the Point Defiance-Tahlequah route.
