State CPS takes 7 children from Centralia home
CENTRALIA, Wash. (AP) - Child Protective Services removed seven children from a Centralia home because of unsafe and unhealthy conditions.
Det. Chris Fitzgerald told KITI the 29-year-old mother has a history of drug and alcohol abuse and mental issues. The children - between the ages of 10 months and 12 years - were found Sunday with a 19-year-old baby sitter, a transient wanted on a burglary charge.
Police say there was garbage and broken glass in the home, and the children had not eaten since the day before.
This is at least the fourth time the Centralia mother has had her children taken away.
