Foul play suspected in Bellevue woman's death
BELLEVUE, Wash. -- A 35-year-old woman was found dead late Monday morning inside her Bellevue home, and police are investigating the death as a possible murder.

The victim didn't show up for work Monday morning, so a co-worker went her home, located in the 12700 block of NE 10th Place, to check on her.

"She didn't show up for work today. A co-worker was worried, came to the apartment and found the door open. (The co-worker) walked in and found her dead on the floor,"said Carla Iafrate with Bellevue Police.

Iafrate said the victim lived with someone, but police haven't located that person yet. While no suspects have been identified, Iafrate said there does not appear to be a threat to the surrounding area.

The crime has shaken residents in the quiet neighborhood.

"I never thought something like this would exist in my own backyard," one woman said. "It's very unsettling."

Police have not yet said how the woman died, but Iafrate said she was not shot.
