Police: Man arrested after pulling gun at Little League game
QUILCENE, Wash. - A 58-year-old Brinnon man was arrested Friday night after he allegedly pulled out a gun and made threats at a Little League baseball game in Quilcene, officials said.

Jefferson County sheriff's deputies responded to the scene, at the Deema Smakman Field in Quilcene, at about 7:45 p.m. Friday after receiving reports of an altercation at the Little League game.

By the time they arrived, the suspect had already left, said Jefferson County sheriff's spokesman Capt. Ben Stamper.

Several witnesses told deputies that the suspect, later identified as Steven L. Dixon, 58, of Brinnon, had been loudly swearing and shouting profanities during the game, Stamper said. Finally a 64-year-old Quilcene man asked him to watch his language in front of children.

The suspect then walked to his car and appeared to be leaving, but returned and pulled out a handgun, which he pointed directly at the face of the Quilcene man and threatened to kill him, Stamper said.

Witnesses said the gun was also pointed in the direction of the bleachers as they were occupied by spectators and children. The suspect did not fire and soon departed in a vehicle, Stamper said.

At about 8:30 p.m., deputies located the suspect at his Brinnon home and arrested him without further incident. Deputies also recovered a .32 caliber handgun.

Dixon was booked into the Jefferson County Jail for investigation of first-degree assault, reckless endangerment and harassment.

Dixon told deputies that he had felt threatened by the Quilcene man.
