Spike strips bring end to 150 mph chase on I-5

OLYMPIA, Wash. -- Sheriff's deputies used spike strips to stop a driver who hit 150 mph while trying to get away from police on Interstate 5 early Wednesday.
Thurston County sheriff's spokesman Sgt. Kevin Slease said deputies spotted the stolen Chevy Camaro just after 2 a.m. south of Olympia, but the driver refused to stop.
The driver sped onto Highway 101, then onto I-5 and made it more than 50 miles at triple-digit speeds before finally being stopped near milepost 52 just north of Castle Rock.
Slease said the 2012 Camaro was a rental and had been reported stolen to Port of Seattle Police.
No one was injured, and the driver was arrested.
