Robert Durall Guilty Of Killing His Wife
KING COUNTY - Robert Durall, a former Presbyterian church deacon, was convicted Monday of first-degree murder in the killing of his wife.

He could be sentenced to 22 to 26 years.

King County Superior Court jurors had heard closing arguments Thursday and began deliberations Friday in the case of 42-year-old Durall, a computer manager.

He was charged with first-degree murder in the beating death of his 36-year-old wife, Carolyn, nearly two years ago.

Prosecutors say he killed her after she told him she planned to leave him and take their three children.

Durall testified she was killed by two mysterious gunmen, a story he says he was too scared to tell until after the trial began.
