KING COUNTY - A deal to be announced today will preserve as much as 10,000 acres of forest land near Snoqualmie Falls.
The controversial Falls Crossing development near the falls will not go forward. Instead, the land will be preserved in a deal called the largest land preservation effort ever undertaken by King County.
This is a deal between Weyerhaeuser, the city of Snoqualmie, the Cascade Land Conservancy and King County.
