Work On US 2 Hewitt Avenue Trestle Finished Early
EVERETT - Good news for those of you tired of being stuck in the mess around the US 2 Trestle construction -- the mess is over.

The Department of Transportation says that due to great weather, a speedy contractor and early completion bonuses, the continuous lane closures on the westbound US 2 Hewitt Avenue Trestle are over -- just in time for the Evergreen State Fair in Monroe.

More finishing work needs to be done on the trestle but the morning commute will be back to normal -- or what passes for normal in the Puget Sound area. However, drivers should expect to see occasional off-peak lane, shoulder and ramp closures in order for the contractor to complete the project.
