SEA-TAC AIRPORT - Authorities evacuated a United Airlines plane at Sea-Tac Airport Monday night as a precaution after a laptop computer was found on board that didn't belong to any of the current passengers.

The plane had originated from New York's JFK Airport. Once the laptop was found as the plane neared the Pacific Northwest, the plane was escorted by military jets to land at Sea-Tac Airport, where it landed safely.

The plane was then escorted to a remote section of the airport where all passengers were safely evacuated off the plane.

There were no threats on the laptop, and no called in threats to the plane. Officials made the decision to evacuate the plane as a security precaution.
