FRIDAY HARBOR - A magnitude 3.8 earthquake gave the San Juan islands a little rumble early Friday morning.

It struck just after 3:52 a.m. and was centered about 27 miles north of Friday Harbor and 14 miles south of Vancouver, British Columbia.

A preliminary report by the University of Washington's Department of Earth and Space Sciences says the quake was 8 miles deep.

There have been no reports of any injuries or damage.
