'How Many Chickens Did You Kill Today?'

SEATTLE - About 2 dozen people lined the street in Capitol Hill Sunday chanting "KFC what do you say? How many chickens did you kill today?"

Animals rights activists tried to stop people from eating at one local Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant.

Singer Chrissie Hynde from the Pretenders - who is in town for a concert - joined members of PETA to say Kentucky Fried Chicken is cruel to chickens.

They accuse KFC of using chickens that are raised in crowded pens, among other things.

The company counters they only deal with suppliers with the highest standards on animal welfare.
