Jason Gesser Signs With Tennessee Titans

NASHVILLE, TENN. - Washington State quarterback Jason Gesser has agreed to terms as a free agent with the Tennessee Titans.

Speaking from Honolulu, Gesser says he's happy with the way things turned out, even though he wasn't one of the 13 quarterbacks taken in the NFL draft.

Steve McNair and Billy Volek were the only quarterbacks on the Titans roster.

Gesser says he's looking forward to learning from McNair.

Gesser shared the Pac-10's offensive player of the year award with Southern California's Carson Palmer, the top pick overall and one of 13 quarterbacks taken in the NFL draft. Gesser was a three-year starter and threw for 8,830 yards with 70 touchdowns and 39 interceptions.

The Titans also added a favorite Gesser target in Jerome Riley, one of five receivers among the undrafted free agents.
