'It Renewed My Faith In People'
LAKE CITY - When we told you Georgenne Robbins is blind and needed a van with a wheelchair lift for her grandson Nicholas, we figured it would take a few weeks for People Helper viewers to come through.

It took one day.

Larry Freeman from the Lake City Western Vigilantes called us and said he had a van to donate to the family. He'd seen our first story People Helper story about 13-year-old Nicholas who couldn't walk or talk because of severe abuse he suffered as a baby. Nicholas has cerebral palsey and epilepsy.

Larry delivered the van the other day. Georgenne was ecstatic.

"It's really renewed my faith in people. There are neat people out there," says Georgenne.

We also gave the family $500, thanks to donations from viewers. We're also working on getting the family a brand new computer.

"We absolutely love doing this kind of thing," says Larry Freeman with a smile.
