SEATTLE - Boeing might start laying off workers if its tanker deal with the Air Force doesn't go through, according to Bloomberg News citing an Air Force official.
Under the deal, the Air Force would lease 20 Boeing 767s to use as air tankers.
The Pentagon put the deal on hold earlier this week to investigate whether Boeing used insider information to get the contract.
The Air Force official quoted by Bloomberg says up to 500 Boeing workers could lose their jobs if the deal falls through.
