Small Quake Rattles Mount Vernon
MT. VERNON - A magnitude 3.8 earthquake rattled the Mount Vernon area at 3:34 a.m. on Wednesday.

Callers to the KOMO 4 News desk reported feeling very strong shaking followed by a small aftershock about 20 minutes later.

"It was like a train rolling through the house," said Dutch Bahari.

Elisa Schmidt, also of Mount Vernon, was woken up by the shaking. "It was a really big rumble," she said.

The quake was centered about three miles northeast of Mount Vernon.

There have been no reports of any injuries or damage.
