SEATTLE - Saturday marked the opening day of Boating Season, and with it came a day of wonderful weather and the 18th annual Windermere Cup Regatta on the Montlake Cut.

University of Washington crews won nine of the 10 races they rowed in the regatta.

UW won the men's Windermere Cup trophy yesterday for the third-straight season and the 13th time in the last 14 years.

The Huskies reclaimed the women's Windermere Cup after Belarus won last season.

UW's varsity eight captured the women's main event title for the 11th time in the last 13 years.

The only trophy not collected by the Huskies was the women's Cascade Cup.

Washington State defeated UW by one boat length to snap a 13-year winning streak by the Huskies' junior varsity in the Cascade Cup competition.
