Possible Murder Mystery In Seattle

SEATTLE - Seattle Police are investigating a suspicious death.

A man's body was found in a red Porsche Boxster, wrapped head to toe in some kind of cloth. The car was parked in a neighborhood at the north end of Beacon Hill.

"At this time we don't know the cause of death," said Scott Moss with the Seattle Police Department, "but at this time it's being ruled a suspicious death."

The body was found Thursday morning after neighbors at Sturgus and S. Charles complained the car had been parked there for 24 hours.

Police say what they found is suspicious for more than one reason.

"The body was found wrapped in some sort of a cloth. The body was entirely wrapped from head to feet in cloth," said Moss.

Police won't say how the person died or who the person is.

But police sources admit the evidence leads to Kevin Shaw, 44.

Wednesday Shaw's friends began asking for help via email to find the Seattle businessman.

They said he'd been missing since Monday morning and was last seen driving away in his red 1998 Porsche. That's the same Porsche that was found Thursday morning.

KOMO 4 News reached some of those friends who'd been asking for help. They said they couldn't talk yet.

Faced with a suspicious death the police are being careful with their words, too.

"Our detectives have some theories although we can't get into that at this moment," said Moss. "We don't know whether or not those theories will hold up."
