SEATTLE - Hit and run victim Bonni Suval will need two months of medical care before she can go home. She has a fractured skull, a broken leg, tailbone and clavicle bone.

Bonni is the lead singer in the band Fear of Dolls. After a show late Tuesday night in Seattle, Bonni and band mate Joel Bergstrom were walking across the street, in a crosswalk, when a car slammed into Bonni.

After hitting her, the driver took off.

"I thought she had died," said Bergstrom. "She wasn't waking up, I didn't want to move her. The last thing I saw was the driver speeding off."

A local cabbie saw the whole thing. He took off after the car that hit Bonni and trailed it as he called police. Thanks to him, police tracked the driver down and arrested him.

Bonni survived but faces a long road to recovery with no health insurance.

"We really have no idea at this point how we are going to do financially. We are not a rich family," said her sister, Hethur Suval.

Hethur says they don't know how they will ever afford the hospital bills.

"It's so frustrating. She's like an innocent person and in a split second her whole entire life changed," said the older Suval.

Friends and family have set up an account in Bonni Suval's name at Washington Mutual Banks. They are hoping people will help donate to help her with her rising medical bills.
