Couple Sentenced For Tying Up Their Kids
BONNEY LAKE - Wednesday was an emotional day in court for a Bonney Lake couple who admitted tying their kids up with duct tape and zip-ties.

Brad and Rachel Lambert each pleaded guilty to unlawful imprisonment. Rachel also pleaded guilty to assault.

She tearfully told the judge she had just had a baby, and was worried her two step-kids would harm the newborn.

Now she says she can hardly call herself a mother.

"I deserve everything I'm getting at this point," Rachel Lambert said. "From 34 days in the hole to death threats and hate mail. As a mother, I can only say I deserve worse."

The judge sentenced Rachel Lambert to 4 1/2 years in prison. Her husband got six months, three of which will be served in home detention.
