Mother, Young Son Found Slain In Bremerton
BREMERTON - A woman and her son were found dead in a scene of unspecified violence in a house, and deputies have issued an arrest warrant for Bryan Matsen, the woman's husband.

A call from the woman's employer led to the discovery of the bodies about 1 p.m. Sunday.

Deputies said the junior high school-aged boy Wahren Agonoy and his mother Evelyn Matsen apparently died within 48 hours before their bodies were found. Neighbors said they recalled seeing the boy return home from school Friday, but the Evelyn failed to appear for work Sunday.

Officers found "a scene of a violent nature" at the house, Deputy Scott Wilson said. He would not elaborate or say how the woman and boy were believed to have died.

Neighbors described Bryan Matsen as a friendly California native who serves in the Navy and has kept an immaculate lawn during several years at the house.

Evelyn and Wahren moved in a little more than a year ago and the man introduced the boy as his son, neighbors told the Kitsap Sun, although police say Bryan Matsen was not the boy's biological father
