LYNNWOOD - Not everyone is lucky enough to have tickets to the NFC Championship game Sunday, so plenty of fans are making plans to watch at home. The result has been a local spike in sales of big screen TVs.

All the big-box electronics stores have noticed the fans in green and blue eyeing the plasma HDTV flat screens like...well, like Hawks.

"You can see how many people are walking around here with Seahawks hats on," Lynnwood Video Only manager Eric Backman says. "People are really excited about the game."

For some, a new TV is better than a ticket to the game. Over at Best Buy, Bill faces an O. Henry-esque dilemma as he examines a 42-inch plasma set.

"If I go to the game, then I can't buy the TV," he says. "But if my wife will let me sell the tickets then I'll have enough to be able to afford the TV."

Bill figures he could get $750 for his seats.

Meanwhile, Mike at the Lynnwood Circuit City is keeping a promise to himself.

"I said after they won the last game, I was gonna buy a big screen. You just don't see what the Seahawks have done. They've made history."

Mike went home with a 52-inch Panasonic flat screen.
