SEATTLE - Going to the Super Bowl, but still not finding any room at the "Inn?"

A true Hawks fan who's migrated to the Motor City has some advice on finding a hotel room.

Carolyn Livingston spent over 20 years here, but now she resides just outside of Detroit in the suburb of Livonia. Livonia is just a 20-minute drive, and is one of several other suburbs that are close to the city.

She says it's pretty easy to get around.

"Oh my gosh!" Livingston exclaims with a laugh. "The freeways in Seattle are terrible. Here in Detroit, we have 15 major freeways."

Her point? Quit looking for hotel rooms downtown, and check out the suburbs. They're close, and they may have room for you.

"Livonia is a great city to be in because we have two major freeways that intersect the city, so it's easy to get downtown," says Wes Graff with the Livonia Chamber of Commerce. With the possibility of cancellations, he very well could have some rooms for you.

Whichever 'burb you choose, you're at the most 30 minutes away, so it may be worth checking out.

Back to our Hawks fan now living in a Steelers world -- a vast majority of the Detroit residents are pulling for the black and gold -- Carolyn Livingston works in a school. The other day she was in class when a question came up.

"'Where's the farthest place you've ever been from Detroit?' and I said 'Oh, Seattle, Washington,' " Livingston recalls. "And I said 'Go Seahawks,' and I got booed right out of the classroom."

But don't worry, she still bleeds blue and bright green.

"I do have my 1999 Western Division sweatshirt hanging in front of my desk, and they always laugh at me," she says.

We'll see who has the last laugh, Carolyn.
