Couple Accused Of Having Sex With Baby Sitter
CHEHALIS, WASH. - A Randle couple has been charged with rape of a child following accusations that they had sex with their 13-year-old baby sitter and plied her with alcohol.

Robert T. Andrew, 42, and April D. Hunt-Andrew, 28, are charged with 10 counts of second-degree child rape and one count of supplying liquor to a minor. Lewis County Superior Court Judge Nelson Hunt ordered them held on $150,000 bail after their arrests Tuesday.

Arraignment is scheduled for Thursday.

Police began investigating after the baby sitter revealed her involvement with the couple during a psychosexual evaluation. The girl was convicted in Lewis County Juvenile Court of third-degree assault with sexual motivation, a charge involving the couple's now 7-year-old child.

The girl baby-sat for the couple from January 2004, when she was 12, until May 2005. She told investigators she often slept in the couple's bed and took showers with them.

"This is a very extensive, long term grooming of this young girl to get her to feel comfortable with sex with two people in the same bed at the same time," said Lewis County Prosecutor Jeremy Randolph.

The first sexual contact occurred while the three were in bed watching a pornographic movie, charging documents show. Hunt-Andrew told authorities "they were there to teach (the baby sitter) how to have sex and this was not for them."

The Lewis County sheriff's office is investigating the couple's involvement with six other baby sitters. All but one are juveniles, Deputy Cmdr. Steve Aust said.
