HYAK - Good boy...

Avalanche technicians, along with the help of their rescue dog Kuri, have located a missing 25-pound bag of explosives that were lost in the snow Thursday morning.

The Transportation Department says the bag fell from a cable into an avalanche chute while highway workers were conducting avalanche control work at Snoqualmie Pass.

Kuri sniffed around the original site until he found the detonation cord sticking up just above the surface of the snow.

The explosives have been recovered and are now safe and secure.
